Since becoming
a Notary Public in 2011, I have been a public officer appointed and
commissioned by the Governor of the State of Florida. My current certifications are through the National Notary Association and The Professional Association of Notaries
Public. I am background screened
annually, bonded and insured. This authority allows me to serve the public by taking
acknowledgments and administering oaths as well as various other duties.
Acknowledgments
When you
have an important document that requires a notarization without being sworn in,
this is an acknowledgment. I will need
to see a valid picture identification (usually a driver license or passport)
and witness you signing where needed. I
can then notarize your signature.
Administering Oaths
Sometimes
there is wording on a document stating you have been sworn in or that you are
making a sworn statement. We will start
off with me asking you, “Do you swear that the information in this document is
true?” After you say, “yes” we can proceed
as in an acknowledgment.
Wedding Officiant
In Florida,
a Notary Public is authorized to Solemnize a Marriage. This can only be done after the couple
obtains a valid marriage license from a county court judge or the clerk of the
court. Then, by virtue of the authority
vested in me by the State of Florida, I will perform the ceremony.
Auto VIN Certifications
Notaries
public are authorized to certify vehicle identification numbers. I often provide the Department of Highway
Safety and Motor Vehicle’s form and fill it out. After you sign it, I can then notarize your
signature.
I-9 Verifications
Your future
employer may need you to fill out an I-9 form.
This form does not require a notarization; however, a notary public is
often required to act as an authorized representative.
Safe-Deposit Box Content
Certification
When the
rental fee on a bank’s safe-deposit box is past due and proper notice has been made,
it may be time for the financial institution to open it. A notary public must be present and may not
be a bank employee, officer, or stockholder. I have a form and will fill it out listing the
contents.
Signing Agent
I first became
certified as a Signing Agent in 2012 and now keep my certification with the
National Notary Association. I am
experienced in residential as well as commercial real estate sales and
purchases, refinances and home equity lines of credit. I have also been called on for applications,
debt consolidations, structured settlements and reverse mortgages.
Mobile Notary
For an
additional travel fee, I come to you.
This is especially useful if the signer is in a hospital or nursing
home.
Mobile Office
Sometimes
you just don't have a place available to sign documents, I'm ready for that
with a clean, comfortable mobile office.
I am print and scan ready, have a laptop computer and a cell phone hot spot.
I am not an
attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, and I may not give legal
advice or accept fees for legal advice
